Art Through A Lens

Hi! I’m Chris Parkinson, the photographer behind C Parkinson Imagery. Trying to balance photography with personality. I don’t wish to bore you with the usual ” I got my first camera when I was eight” or “I’ve always been passionate about photography” lines. As in my case this isn’t true. I have had cameras throughout my life, from instamatic film cameras to DSLR’s and mirrorless. I have been taking pictures for quite a long time. I’ve not always been into portrait photography either. Having spent considerable time shooting landscape and wildlife etc..  Creativity is a different story though. Ive always been interested in creating. Whether through drawing, design, music or photography. I love all forms of art.

This website has been created for you, the viewer, to enjoy some of my work from Fashion, Portraits, Pets and even provocative photography. I have always believed that photographs should feel genuine and natural. That being said, every photography type has its own unique style, but authenticity is something that’s common for all. For example, pet photography should capture the innocence and cuteness of our none human friends, while fashion and model images should reflect professionalism and bring out personality.

And that’s exactly what I need to feel before getting behind the lens. I like to keep things relaxed so the pictures feel natural, and my subjects feel their best in front of the camera. With me, you’re not just posing, you’re creating photos that actually mean something. So please enjoy and feel free to get in touch with any question you may have.

Best Wishes

Chris

My Approach to Capturing Moments

I believe great photos never come from stiff poses or rehearsed smiles. They come from the small, unplanned moments, the way I capture a model candid shot, how a pet tilts its head in the funniest way, or the spark of confidence in a professional headshot. That’s what I’m after every time I pick up my camera.

As a portrait photographer and pet photographer, I like to keep things relaxed. I’ll guide the subject if I need to, but mostly I let the moments unfold naturally. My photography is all about comfort, so the subject never feel pressured or awkward in front of the lens. Whether it’s model portraits, pet photography, professional headshots, or provocative photography, my approach is simple: create space for people (and pets!) to be themselves, and the magic will naturally happen. That’s exactly when the photos come out real, and those are the images worth holding onto. If that sounds like the kind of experience you’re after, let’s connect and create some memories together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about my photography? The FAQ section is here to clear things up. Here you’ll find quick answers that make the whole process run much smoother and free of confusion.

Preparation is not always simple!  Sometimes I am lucky to have the help of a team with the preperation and execution of an entire shoot. Other times it could just be me and the subject. Which ever it may be, their is always something that makes the process that little bit harder. Health of team members, locations and weather if outside can all play a factor on whether the shoot goes ahead as planned.

Most sessions last between two and four hours, depending on the type of shoot and the number of locations. This gives us enough time to capture a variety of poses and natural moments without feeling rushed. I will always give myself more time than i need so everything flows smoothly, and the team will have plenty of time to feel relaxed, enjoy the experience, and create photos that feel effortless and true to the concept.

This can vary from shoot to shoot. I take time to carefully select and edit each photo, ensuring the highest quality of images. I use an online program to share with the subject or client. So they will receive your gallery digitally, making it easy to download, share, or print accordingly. If a quicker turnaround is required, I will do my best to accommodate the clients timeline. This could mean certain images and certain shoots will take priority.

If you didn’t find answers to your questions here, fret not. You can contact me anytime to clear up any confusion you have regarding my photography services. I would be more than happy to answer your questions and guide you step by step so the whole process feels easy and stress-free.
